Send police your crime tip with the push of a button, either on your cell or your computer.

To send the police department a tip via cell phone you must have text messaging capabilities on your cell and you must subscribe to a participating carrier.

To send a text find the messaging or SMS (short messaging system) option on your cell menu.

Compose a new message or text; enter 274637 as the mobile number you are contacting, or in the “to” field; in the body of the message type “LBPD” followed by a space and then your crime tip; then hit send.

Within moments you should receive a message with your unique encrypted identification number which starts the secure and anonymous text dialog.
