Hobby photographer Anton Fury sales weekend garage looking for collectible toys led to dozens of apparently unpublished photos of a young Marilyn Monroe. Fury has enabled CNN to publish images of a few days before what would have been 85 years in Monroe. They were reportedly taken during a photo shoot before she was well known.

“I found an envelope of negatives, not knowing what they were, but I realized they were old,” said Fury. He paid $ 2 for the folder, containing two packets of black-white negative.

That was in Parsippany, New Jersey, in 1980, when the rage says it was “a budding photographer.”

“I took it home, put it in the light panel with a magnifying glass and, of course, this is Marilyn,” he said. “That was probably my greatest discovery ever garage sale.”

The second envelope was filled with about 70 negatives of actress Jayne Mansfield. Clung furiously to pictures of the last three decades, without knowing much about them. Fury flew to Los Angeles this week to show the images to David Streets, a Beverly Hills dealer and art appraiser experienced with photos of Monroe.

Monroe was one of the most photographed women ever, but the streets suspect that these photos are from his early years, shortly after he cut his hair and became the iconic look most people associate with it. Monroe, who would have been 24 in 1950, had two bathing suits, including a bikini and shorts during the photo shoot by the pool.
